InfratechHub 2025

A workshop on technology solutions for transport infrastructure

On 13 December, BaezeniSoft held the workshop "Technology solutions for transport infrastructure - InfraTechHub 2025", alongside ZWSOFT Vietnam, Delauney International, the Highway Engineering Department at the University of Transport and Communications, Hanoi, and Hanoi Transport Construction Consultant Joint Stock Company.

The workshop set out to create a dedicated forum for sharing, researching, developing and applying technology in transport infrastructure, and drew a large attendance of specialists, managers, businesses and engineers from Vietnam and abroad.

Mr. Pham Van Bach, CEO of BaezeniSoft, opening the workshop and setting out a technology vision for transport infrastructure in Vietnam.

As Vietnam pushes ahead with national digital transformation through a series of large-scale government strategies and programmes - from the national digital transformation scheme and the digital infrastructure development scheme to firm requirements on applying BIM, AI, GIS, IoT and digital data in managing transport infrastructure investment - the need for forums of real depth has become pressing.

At the same time, transport - a pillar of economic growth - has come under considerable pressure on programme, quality, transparency and the need to optimise investment cost. Against that background, technology is no longer merely a supporting tool but a core driver, shaping each company's competitiveness and determining what transport infrastructure projects actually achieve.

On that basis, the forum was held in the hope of becoming an open venue where businesses, specialists and managers share experience and lessons learned and discuss new directions in applying technology to transport infrastructure development.

Specifically, InfraTechHub 2025 concentrated on four main pillars:

  • Sharing digital technologies such as BIM, GIS, digital twins, digital models, AI and automation across the whole life of an infrastructure project.

  • Discussing the practical obstacles to digital transformation in transport infrastructure in Vietnam, from the legal framework to data and the workforce.

  • Looking for new ways for businesses, regulators and research bodies to work together, towards pilot projects and solutions that can be rolled out more widely.

  • Shaping a digital infrastructure ecosystem suited to conditions in Vietnam at this new stage of development, one that is sustainable and can be integrated for the long term.

It is fair to say that InfraTechHub 2025 marks the first time transport infrastructure has had a forum dedicated to technology and digital transformation, acting as an important bridge between everyone involved. The event helps drive innovation and raise the sector's technical capability, and adds real momentum to digital transformation in transport infrastructure over the years ahead.

Mr. Vu Hoang Dung, Chairman of the Board of Hanoi Transport Construction Consultant Joint Stock Company, sharing practical experience of applying BIM.

Speaking at the workshop, Dr. Dang Minh Tan (University of Transport and Communications) presented on intelligent transport systems (ITS) and artificial intelligence (AI) in urban traffic management, covering the use of data processed through server systems and traffic control centres. ITS uses AI, big data and IoT to recognise traffic conditions, forecast trends and detect incidents promptly. Solutions include adjusting signal timings, guiding traffic flow, routing vehicles, handling incidents and emergency response, and supporting investigation, tracing and enforcement. Intelligent transport can be said to cut congestion by 20% at 1% of the cost of rebuilding the road network.

Dr. Dang Minh Tan - Deputy Head of the Highway Engineering Department, University of Transport and Communications

Mr. Duong Dang Toan - Account Manager at ZWSOFT Vietnam - on the ZWCAD 365 solution at Vinhomes

Mr. Yipin Zhang - CEO of Delauney International - on applying digital transformation in construction and operation

Mr. Tran Trung Nguyen - Business Director, BaezeniSoft - on applying BIM at the project preparation stage

Alongside the presentations, specialists at the workshop took an active part in questions and discussion, offering further perspectives on applying BIM, GIS, digital twins, digital models and AI to design, construction management, operation and monitoring of transport infrastructure.
